He is a veteran reporter and now takes pride in ensuring the standards of the paper are maintained.[1] He has a dry sense of humor and is diligent, detail-oriented and a veritable newsroom wordsmith.[1]
[edit] Season 5
Spry often has to correct the mistakes of younger reporters like Alma Gutierrez - when presenting a story about a burning building he disparages her use of evacuate as a verb for moving the people out of the building.[2]
