Bobby J. Brown is an American Actor. He has a recurring role as Western District veteran Officer Bobby Brown in all 5 seasons of The Wire.

He played a Western District uniformed officer named Ira Weiner in The Corner. Brian O'Neill played a fictionalized version of the real officer named Bob Brown in The Corner and the real Bob Brown also had a cameo as a uniformed officer.

Brown also appeared in the season Homicide: Life on the Street episode "Closet Case" as Terry. He had a recurring role as a uniformed officer in for three episodes total over seasons 2 and 5 of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He also played a uniformed officer in City by the Seas. He also appeared in the John Waters film Pecker as an average Joe.

He wrote and directed the 2005 documentary Off the Chain about the pit-bull breed of dog.
